Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code

Artemis Fowl is going straight─
As soon as he pulls off the most brilliant criminal feat of his career...

After being held prisoner for years, Artemis Fowl's father has finally come home. He is a new man─an honest man, much to Artemis's horror. He makes his son promise to give up his life of crime, and Artemis has to go along with it. But not until he has completed one last scheme.
Artemis has constructed a supercomputer from stolen fairy technology. Called the "C Cube," it will render all existing human technology obsolete. He arranges a meeting with a powerful Chicago businessman, John Spiro, to broker a deal for the C Cube. But Spiro springs a trap─he steals the C Cube and mortally injures Butler. Artemis knows his only hope of saving his loyal bodyguard is to employ fairy magic; so once again he must contact his old rival, Captain Holly Short of the LEPrecon fairy police.
It is going to take a miracle to save Butler, and Artemis's luck may have just run out....

And here we have the third book in the best-selling Artemis Fowl series. In this great book, Artemis decides he has time for one last crime before he goes along with his father's wishes to go down the straight and narrow path. This causes some conflict for Artemis, as you may guess, but he decides that it is for the best.

While carrying out this scheme, to potentially sell his supercomputer constructed from fairy tech, things go horribly wrong. Butler, Artemis's... uh... 'butler' and bodyguard, is gravely injured. And the only way to help him is to convince the fairies to help.

The rest of the book chronicles the tale of how Artemis and the LEPrecon track down, and subsequently take down, the man who was going to make a deal with Artemis in the first place. On this mission, you are pulled all over the world, in a race against time. And the sad part? You won't want to stop reading once you start.

8.5/10 Stars for The Eternity Code

Overall, this is a great book. It has a great storyline (which is a great continuation of teh story as a whole). It has action. It has magic. Everything that a reader could want. That's why I decided to give 8.5 stars. My only dislike about the book is that it jumps back and forth across the globe randomly.

However, in my opinion, this series is on par with the Harry Potter books. Now, I have a feeling that not everyone will agree with me on that point, but that is what  the internet is for, people sharing their opinions. On that note, let me know what you think: Do you think Artemis Fowl is on par with the Harry Potter series? You can weigh in on this at either Chime.in or Facebook, or in the comments below.
