Happy New Year One & All!
Happy New Year to all of my awesome readers. 2014 was a crazy year, lots of new movies came out, as well as quite a few games. Let's take a look back at what we did with the top 5 reviews of 2014.
5. Coming in at #5 with 278 views is the movie Bad Words, starring Jason Bateman. Bateman plays a 40-something ex-spelling bee contestant who finds a loophole to compete against 8th graders. Craziness ensues.
4. At #4 (328 views), we have the film The Maze Runner, which follows a boy named Thomas as he is thrown into a community of boys who live within a constantly changing maze.
3. The #3 spot (and top movie spot) is filled by The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 with 396 views. If you don't know what movie that is by now, you have seriously been living under a rock. Mockingjay Part 1 follows Katniss Everdeen as she joins the resistance movement against the evil Capital and President Snow.
2. Our runner-up for 2014 is taken by a game that, at the time of writing, was in a Closed Beta, and just recently went to Open Beta: Dead Island: Epidemic. This game takes the insane weapon crafting of the original Dead Island game and smashes it together with a control scheme similar to the Diablo series in the worlds first ZOBA game. This review got 415 views.
1. And the winner for Top Review of 2014 is The Martian! Completely blowing everything else out of the water with 1,176 views, The Martian is a book by Andy Weir which chronicles the story of Astronaut Mark Watney who, due to a freak accident, becomes stranded on Mars by himself, with hardly enough supplies to last a year, much less until he gets rescued.
Thank you all for making 2014 a hell of a year, I look forward to writing many more reviews for you in 2015. Hope you all have a safe and happy year!
