Sparks are igniting.
Flames are spreading,
And the Capitol wants revenge.
Against all odds, Katniss has won the Hunger Games. She and fellow District 12 tribute Peeta Mellark are miraculously still alive. Katniss should be relieved, happy even. After all, she has returned to her family and her longtime friend, Gale. Yet nothing is the way Katniss wishes it to be. Gale holds her at an icy distance. Peeta has turned his back on her completely. And there are whispers of a rebellion against the Capitol -- a rebellion that Katniss and Peeta may helped create.
Much to her shock, Katniss has fueled an unrest she's afraid she cannot stop. And what scares her even more is that she's not entirely convinced she should try. As time draws near for Katniss and Peeta to visit the districts on the Capitol's cruel Victory Tour, the stakes are higher than ever. If they can't prove without a shadow of a doubt that they are lost in their love for each other, the consequences will be horrifying.

So, the Hunger Games trilogy is crazy good. That really goes without saying, since it is now a New York Times Bestseller. Not only that, but Stephen King and Stephenie Meyer like the series. That's right, all you TwiHards out there, the author of your series likes this one. In her own words, "The Hunger Games is amazing."
Catching Fire is the second book in the series, if you didn't catch that already. It has so many twists and turns that I was truly not expecting the ending. This makes for a perfect stage for Mockingjay, which I can not wait to buy and read. My only dislike about this series is that there are only 3 books; I don't want it to end.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: If you haven't read the Hunger Games series, you need to. Go out and buy it and read it. I mean, yea, you could wait for the movies, but in my honest opinion, it is so much better to read the books first, so you can truly enjoy the movie.
And as always, if you have any suggestions for reviews, let me know in the comments, or give me a buzz. There's a link in the right sidebar for you to call me through Google Voice, I'd love to hear your suggestions.
