RWBY

But even the most brilliant lights eventually flicker and die.

And when they are gone, darkness will return.

I'd expect that most people know who Rooster Teeth are. Failing that, you should at least have heard of Red vs. Blue, the machinima that they created way back in the days of Halo: Combat Evolved. Well, Rooster Teeth has done it again.

RWBY (pronounced as ruby) is one of their newer web series, and it is quite amazing. It's an anime that follows the story of 4 girls in the world of Remnant as they fight monsters known as Grimm and fight to protect the innocent. Sounds simple enough, but there is so much story packed into each episode that it isn't hard to get sucked into the world and not want to stop watching.

While the story is good, the soundtrack is even better. It's filled with a mix of soothing melodic tones and hard hitting fighting music punctuated by tunes that would be right at home in a club. The Season 1 theme alone is now probably one of my all time favorite songs after listening to it.

Now, if you aren't one for music, but enjoy action, there is plenty of that as well. Team RWBY (consisting of Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long) gets into plenty of fights with Grimm. And each fight scene is choreographed amazingly well. What more can one expect from the creators of one of the biggest series to ever grace the web?

There's plenty of comedy as well, with comic relief coming from pretty much every character at some point throughout the show. And speaking of characters, even if they aren't on screen for very long, each one is fully developed and has their own unique personality.

RWBY is nearly perfect

Overall, the show is awesome. My one real complaint is the fact that the episodes are so short. I end each one wanting more, more, more. Although, I suppose that is the mark of a good show, leave the viewers always wanting more. Kudos to Rooster Teeth for striking gold once again with RWBY.

Do you like Rooster Teeth? Go watch RWBY. Do you like anime? Go watch RWBY. Do you like good music? Go watch (and listen to) RWBY. Do you like all of the above? What are you still doing here? Go watch RWBY!

You can catch it on RT's website or on YouTube.
