The Guild

A web series about gamers.

This is another Geek & Sundry web series review. They really have some good stuff. This time, the series is The Guild. Most have you have probably (I hope) heard of it, and if so, would know that it is now in its fifth season.

The Guild, if it wasn't already apparent, is about a guild of players of an MMORPG. While it is only ever referred to as "The Game," it bears a striking resemblance to World of Warcraft. As far as the story itself, the Knights of Good (the guild's name) have never met in person until Zaboo, one of the characters, shows up at Codex's (Felicia Day) doorstep and starts stalking her from in her own house.
The first season consists of them trying to deal with this, as well as dealing with Bladezz getting banned for using a macro in game. Hijinks and hilarity ensue. While they figure out their problems in the first season, each subsequent season presents the group with new challenges to face on their own and together.

9/10 stars for The Guild

As I mentioned up ↑ there, The Guild is now in its fifth season. From what I've read on the web is that it will also have at least a sixth season as well (let's hope so). As a gamer, I am interested to see where they will go with it after the current season. My only real gripe about the series as a whole is that they only really cover one game type, the MMO. That is the reason it loses a half star. Other than that, I highly recommend you check it out on the Geek & Sundry site (link up top) or Netflix for the first 4 seasons.
